Beluga Invasion in Churchill
Get ready for belugas, belugas and more belugas! Every year over 3,000 of these white whales follow the tides to and from Churchill River and Hudson Bay. On a whale-watching boat heading to the Prince of Wales Fort, listen to the loud clicks and chirps of the belugas through a special hydrophone as the whales playfully swim beside, below and around the boat. Get even closer to these friendly and curious animals on a kayaking or snorkelling adventure. The belugas seem to glow a phosphorescent green as they float beneath you, turning their heads and smiling.
