The Arborg & District Multicultural Heritage Village is a working museum and interpretive centre showcasing the multicultural history of rural life and farm communities of the Interlake region prior to 1930. Assiniboine Forest
Comprised of over 700 acres of urban oak and aspen forest, it is one of the largest urban nature parks of its kind in Canada. This multi-use park is home to a variety of species of flora and fauna. Interpretive signage identifies the 1 km paved Sagimay Trail leading to Eve Werier Pond, boardwalk and the 6 km woodchipped trail system.  Assiniboine Park
Assiniboine Park comprises 153.26 ha (403.43 ac) on the Assiniboine River. The park’s highlight attraction is the Assiniboine Park Zoo, as well as the new Qualico Family Centre, expanded duck pond, Winnie-the-bear statue, walking and biking paths, a conservatory, the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden and a Tudor-style pavilion that is home to the Terrace 55 Restaurant and Pavilion Gallery Museum. The Lyric Theatre, the Mayors Grove, Citizens Hall of Fame, a French formal garden and English Garden are among the many pleasing sites. Facilities for tobogganing, cross-country skiing and ice-skating are available in the winter. Winnipeg’s only cricket tournaments are played in the park. Birds Hill Provincial Park
Featuring hills and ridges formed by ancient glaciers, this 35 sq km/22 sq mi park has a lake, oak and aspen forests, native prairie wildflowers (including several species of rare orchids), deer, waterfowl and songbirds. Facilities include camping, swimming, picnic sites, a riding stable, a restaurant, a beach concession and a convenience store. There are 30 km/18.5 mi of trails for walking and cross-country skiing and a 7.2 km/4.5 mi paved bicycle and roller blading trails.

Bishop Velychkovsky Martyr's Shrine
This is Canada's second martyr's shrine. A beautiful chapel contains the relics (mortal remains) of the Ukrainian Catholic martyr, Blessed Vasyl Velychkovsky. Beatified by Pope John Paul II, Blessed Vasyl suffered severe tortures during the Soviet regime and died in Winnipeg in 1973. A museum with artifacts and a video depicts the martyr's life story. Bruce D. Campbell Farm and Food Discovery Centre
This is the first hands-on interpretive facility which will explore the ways in which food is made in Canada. Exciting and interactive exhibits lead visitors from the farmer’s wheat field to the kitchen table. A highlight of these exhibits are viewing windows into a research barn where visitors will peek into a day in the life of a pig. Visitors learn about every aspect of food production from farming practices to retail sales. The Discovery Centre also highlights ongoing research at the National Centre for Livestock and the Environment.

Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre
The Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre houses the largest collection of marine reptile fossils in Canada. If you like dinosaurs or sea monsters, you will love “Bruce”, our 43 ft (13 m) Mosasaur, the fiercest of all the marine reptiles. He's bigger than a T Rex and just as scary. Join our staff on the beautiful Manitoba Escarpment as they hunt for prehistoric fossils. Register for one of our Fossil Dig programs (May to October) to begin your own outdoor fossil finding adventure. These programs have had a 100% success rate in finding fossils since 2008. Take a perimeter tour of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights construction site using your smart phone! QR barcodes are set up along the perimeter tour route and link to an audio tour that shares details about the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. QR tours begin at stop 1 which is located on the south-western part of the perimeter fence and proceeds eastward for a total of five stops.
