| Emerson The town is named after poet Ralph Waldo Emerson. The Tourist Information Centre houses displays interpreting The Boundary Commission Trail, the North West Mounted Police, the arrival of the first Mennonite settlers and a Trans-Canada kiosk. A larger-than-life statue of a North West Mounted Police officer commemorates the founding of the NWMP in 1873. Location: PTH 75 at the U.S. border. |
