Camp Hughes (PHS)
Camp Hughes (PHS) served as a training camp from 1915-1916 during the First World War. More than 38,000 troops of the Canadian Expeditionary Force trained here and fought in France, Flanders and Vimy Ridge. Training trenches and military cemetery are visible. Tours are available through The RCA Museum by appointment. Location: Camp Hughes Cemetery, 5 km/3 miles south of Hwy 1 on gravel road south of PR 351
