Leo Mol Sculpture Garden
Leo Mol Sculpture Garden is the only sculpture garden in North America dedicated to the works of a single artist. The gardens and gallery feature bronze sculptures, porcelains, paintings and sketches by celebrated Winnipeg artist, Leo Mol. The gardens are also the home of the Leo Mol Schoolhouse Studio. The interior has been maintained intact complete with moulds and plaster casts of major works. It allows the visitor a glimpse of how a bronze sculpture is created. The public may view the National Film Board video, "Light and Shadow." One may purchase items relating to the work of Leo Mol at the gift shop. Audio tapes are available to visitors while touring the garden. Group tours may be booked. One of Winnipeg's natural wonders, the Living Prairie Museum is a preserve of endangered tall-grass prairie preserve. The nature centre is open 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sundays from last weekend in April to end of June; daily July and August. Guided hikes and a self-guiding trail are available. Louis Riel Statue
Louis Riel Statue, created by sculptor Miguel Joyal and commissioned by the Manitoba Métis Federation, is located on the south grounds of the Legislative Building facing the Assiniboine River. The statue commemorates Riel's contribution to the development of Canadian Confederation and his role, and that of the Métis, as founders of Manitoba.

See the Big House (Governor's home), furloft/saleshop, men's house, guest cottage, blacksmith's shop, farm manager's cottage, native encampment and York boat.

The Visitor Reception Centre features a theatre, restaurant, gift shop and picnic shelter. Full programming at the historic site is available from May 15 to Labour Day. Site tours available to the end of September. Group programs, meetings, dinners by pre-registration all year. Special programs for Halloween in October and Christmas in December. Admission charged.

Manitoba Legislative Building (PHS)
Completed in 1920, the Beaux-Arts Classical-style building features a grand staircase, matching bison statues, Manitoba Tyndall stone and the famous Golden Boy statue atop the dome. The grounds contain statues of Queen Victoria, La Vérendrye, statesmen and poets. Location: Broadway and Osborne.
Max Lake Campground (P)
80 km south of Highway 1 on Highway 10, west on Highway 3 for 7 km, 11 km south to park entrance road. Quiet, out-of-the-way campground on park's largest lake. Open from mid-May to mid-September.
