Frontiers North Adventures

Frontiers North Adventures is the premiere provider of exciting Authentic Arctic Experiences in Canada’s north, including northern lights viewing, beluga whale watching and polar bear experiences in Churchill.

Since 1986 we have been creating unique itineraries and delivering amazing experiences for our guests. Our programs are geared to accommodate small groups of travellers with specific interests in experiential travel, photography, culture and adventure.

Churchill is one of the best locations on Earth to experience the awe-inspiring Aurora Borealis. Travel with us in the month of March and witness the skies come to life with amazing northern lights from the observation deck of a world-famous Tundra Buggy®. You will also have the opportunity to glide across the snow-covered tundra on a sled pulled by a team of dogs, and feel the sun on your face and wind in your hair during an interpretive snowshoeing afternoon. You will also be at the start line and cheer on mushers at the Hudson Bay Quest, an authentic 400 km dogsled race that begins in Churchill.

In July and August, join us and get up-close and personal with over 3,000 beluga whales in the Churchill River. Frontiers North will help you experience Manitoba’s best-kept secret with our exciting itineraries including beluga whale watching, snorkeling, kayaking, hiking and area tours. Spot lush flora and magnificent summer wildlife including caribou, arctic fox, ptarmigan, and even a polar bear on a summer Tundra Buggy adventure.

In October and November, the best way to view and photograph the polar bears of Churchill is on a Tundra Buggy. As owners and operators of the Tundra Buggy Adventure, we offer the most comprehensive number of packages to view the majestic polar bears. Travel with us and choose from either a Churchill Hotel- or Tundra Buggy Lodge-based stay. We provide exclusive access to the polar bears at Cape Churchill inside Wapusk National Park. Our polar bear tours at Cape Churchill best fulfill your expectations of snow, ice and polar bears.

We inspire our guests with quality nature experiences in a sustainable and responsible manner, ensuring they view and photograph the wildlife of the North as well as learn about the people of the North, their culture, history and customs. We are dedicated to making socially, environmentally, and ethically responsible decisions that contribute to the well being of our local community and the environment. We believe that hosting guests in Canada's north should benefit the communities and ecosystems in which we operate.

We have been honoured with Skal International’s 2009 Ecotourism Award, Travel Manitoba’s Sustainable Tourism and Ecotourism Awards and is recognized by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada as one of the top three sustainable tourism operators in Canada.
